The whole neighborhood has typical narrow streets with pebbles, full of small shops, restaurants and pubs. The main street of the area is Via Garibaldi (the second shopping and pedestrian street in importance after Via Roma) which leads in a few minutes walk to Piazza Castello, one of the masterpieces of piedmontese architecture. The neighborhood is also famous for the market of Porta Palazzo, considered the largest in Europe, where you can walk and wonder among the coloured stands; every Saturday you will find the “Balon”, the flea market with rare finds, bargains and second-hand items. Within few steps you will also reach the Cathedral, famous for the Christianity because the Holy Shroud is stored inside.
